Curtain Gouache #4, gouache on paper, 12.5” x 13.25”, 2015

From my first creative acts, repetition and repeat patterning have been dominant features. For the last six years, the focus of this exploration has been on using discarded, mass-produced fabric such as skirts, shirts, and curtains as subject matter. In the case of these oil paintings and gouache works, I’m specifically working with red, white, and blue fabric items.
